Travelling to Faraway Bay
Getting to Faraway Bay is part of the adventure, with access strictly limited to air and sea. Flights to the Kimberley region are currently exceptionally well-priced, with Air North, Qantas and now Virgin Airlines flying directly into Kununurra.
If you are flying into Kununurra via Darwin on a morning flight (subject to availability), we can arrange for your transfer out to Faraway Bay on arrival in Kununurra (no overnight stay in Kununurra required with this option). Your arrival time into Faraway Bay would be noon. Contact us for more details about this option.
Scenic Flight from Kununurra
From Kununurra, you’ll board a local chartered light aircraft for your flight to Faraway Bay – this is included in your package and fully arranged on your behalf.
The standard departure time from Kununurra is 7.00am.

Faraway Bay is a popular destination for self-flyers. Our airstrip includes tie-down and a parking bay for light aircraft. A helipad is also available for those who arrive by helicopter.
