Australia the Movie Makes Another Visit to Faraway Bay, The Bush Camp
The film crew working on the upcoming blockbuster movie Australia, starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman, has visited Faraway Bay for a second time. The film crew from Baz Lurhmann’s film production company, Bazmark Inq came back to the exclusive wilderness camp to secure more footage of the stunning King George Falls. More Bush Tucker Event For the first time, Faraway Bay has staged a bush tucker event due to popular demand. Guests enjoyed guided bush walks with the Barefoot Bushman Steve McIntosh to collect a bounty of bush food including wild fruits and herbs. These were then prepared back at camp with fresh fish and other local delicacies. So popular, Faraway Bay may make this a regular event. More Something’s Fishy Faraway Bay has strengthened its reputation as a leading eco-retreat, contributing to research about important and rare sea life. This season two rare species of fish and a rare crustacean have been found in waters near Faraway Bay – the Exquisite Rainbowfish, the false-spotted Gudgeon, and an isopod. Samples have been sent off to the University of WA’s School of Animal Biology who confirmed the species. More Be Indulged One of the most remote wilderness retreats in the world, Faraway Bay combines pure comfort, to relax the spirit with bush camp simplicity for a truly unique and awe inspiring Australian outback experience. Here, there’s an exclusive sense of isolation – with no road access, there is no chance of uninvited visitors dropping in! The camp is truly exclusive and only accessible by helicopter or light aircraft. In addition, there’s a high staff–guest ratio. With one staff member to a maximum of two guests, you can be guaranteed your wishes will be met by attentive staff. More
